Walking with Dinosaurs

Are your curious to learn more about the presence of dinosaurs in Asturias? Do you literally want to step into their footprints? And would you like to enjoy a plate of fresh seafood in one of Asturias’ most picturesque fishing villages? Then join our tour ‘Walking with Dinosaurs’!

The coast between Gijon and Ribadesella in Asturias is also called ‘Dinosaur Coast‘. This is because of the presence of many original dinosaur footprints and fossil bones from dinosaurs and other Jurassic reptiles. During this tour we will visit the Jurassic Museum of Asturias, where we will learn everything about Jurassic reptiles and dinosaurs in Asturias. We will also search for original dinosaur footprints during a short walk along the beautiful coast. Finally, we’ll have lunch in beautiful Llastres.

If you’d like to delve deeper into Asturian prehistory, we’d recommend adding an additional visit to the Tito Bustillo Cave, a world heritage site that harbors stunningly well-preserved prehistoric paintings. It’s one of the great sanctuaries of the Palaeolithic art of Europe!
